In line with the government's policy to foster high level experts who will be active in international logistics activities as one of 7 major tasks in the roadmap towards becoming the hub of Northeast Asian logistics.
The University of Incheon prepared for the nation's call and applied for a logistics specialized university at the Ministry of Education in 2003.
The importance was recognized and the university was recognized, and given financial support. On top of this, the establishment of the Graduate School of Logistics in Northeast Asia was approved.
So from 2004, the first ever graduate school specializing in logistics in Korea started to be operated, and took on the important role of fostering logistics experts of international standards.
This made it 2 years in a row that the Graduate School of Logistics in Northeast Asia of the University of Incheon was selected as an outstanding logistics specialized university, and has strongly positioned itself as a foundation for core growth as the Mecca for logistics experts in Korea.
2003

Executed support from the MOE (1.5 billion won) into fostering logistics experts.
Provided scholarship to 100 outstanding students in the newly created logistics
related major.

September 23rd, 2003

MOE gives approval to newly setup the 'Graduate School of Northeast Asia e-biz Logistics,' a special graduate school. 10 masters and 5 doctors in the humanities and social science departments.
10 masters and 5 doctors in the engineering
departments (logistics technology & information departments). Total of 30.

December 2003

Enrollment of 1st students to the Graduate School of Logistics in Northeast Asia.

January 18th, 2004

Started servicing Chinese logistics and trade education data DB.

January 19th, 2004

Setup Graduate School of Logistics in Northeast Asia's website.

Orientation for 1st new students of 2004 (Paradise Hotel, Incheon)

Elected the board of the alumni association officers of the Graduate School of
Logistics in Northeast Asia

Opening ceremony and sign posting ceremony of the Graduate School of
Logistics in Northeast Asia. Official launch

(financial support of 1.84 billion won).

June 2005 Revised and reopened the Graduate School of Logistics in Northeast
Asia website.
